Police report - 9-12-14; A man set his motorcycle on fire by accident when he tried to jump it off.

    Linsey Anne Perdue, 18, Misty Drive, Richmond Hill — underage possession of alcohol.
    Corey Andrelle Davon Davis, 31, Sixth Avenue, Sylvania — suspended license, tag light violation.

    VARIOUS LOCATIONS — Officers issued five citations to people for underage possession of alcohol around 12:15 a.m. Thursday during compliance checks at Rude Rudy’s, Gnat’s Landing, Retrievers, RumRunners, Dingus Magee’s and Southern Billiards. Two men were cited at Dingus Magee’s. One woman was cited at Rude Rudy’s. Two women were cited at Rum Runner’s. Reports did not list any violations for the businesses.
    STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE — A woman told police around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday that she received a check from a party who reportedly hired her to care for a disabled child. The interaction took place online, and the woman’s bank told her the check was likely fraudulent.
    NORTH MAIN STREET — A woman told police around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday that a man knocked on her door and asked whether her husband was home. She did not know the man and was suspicious of his visit.
    HERITAGE INN NURSING HOME — A woman told police around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday that a staff member advised her another person took a wedding ring from the complainant’s grandmother.
    BEASLEY ROAD — A man set his motorcycle on fire by accident when he attempted to jump it off to crank it around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday.

    Michael Stevenson Hundley, 51, Nevils Groveland Road, Brooklet — criminal trespass, simple assault.

    U.S. HIGHWAY 80 EAST — A woman called deputies around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday about her juvenile son, who broke a door trying to get into the house. He told deputies he was locked out and the damage was accidental.
