Police report -8-6-17; Euthanized at animal shelter 24 dogs and 36 cats

    CEDAR POINTE ROAD — Someone reported a burglary.
    SHADY BRANCH ROAD — Deputies investigated a reported burglary.
    HIGHWAY 46 — Someone reported a theft by taking.
    HIGHWAY 129 — Deputies responded to a reported theft by deception.
    DIXON GROVE CIRCLE — Someone reported criminal damage to property.
    HIGHWAY 57 — Someone reported a theft.

Metter Police Department
    MINCEY STREET — Police investigated a burglary.
    SOUTHWEST BROAD STREET — Officers investigated a case of theft by receiving stolen property.
    NORTH LEWIS STREET — Police responded to a call involving several traffic violations and theft by receiving stolen property.
    NORTHEAST BROAD STREET — Someone reported receiving terroristic threats,

    Collected by humane officers — 15 dogs and 36 cats from rural areas; seven dogs and three cats from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — 11 dogs and five cats.
    Taken in by rescue organizations — one dog.
    Reclaimed by owners —one dog.
    Died at shelter — two dogs.
    Euthanized — 15 dogs, nine puppies (severe injury, parvo, aggressive surrender, shelter full) and 36 cats (feral, sick, shelter full).
