➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ PULASKI HIGHWAY — A woman reported her mailbox was missing. It was found destroyed, apparently by a passing vehicle.

▲ J.C. LEWIS FORD — A former couple called deputies over a dispute about vehicle ownership. They decided to take the case to magistrate court.

▲ DOLLAR GENERAL/HIGHWAY 80 EAST — A woman said her ex-boyfriend showed up when she was on a work break and accused her of having a sexual relationship with another person at the scene driving a black Dodge Charger. When she denied the accusation, the offender grabbed her cellphone and scratched her hand. A bystander yelled at him to stop, and he did so, driving across the road. Someone flagged down an off-duty sheriff’s deputy at a gas station across the road, and the suspect fled, leaving behind his vehicle, still running. The deputy noted redness and a scratch on the woman’s hand, but there was not enough evidence for a warrant. The store manager asked that the suspect be given a criminal trespass warning. Deputies had the vehicle towed.

▲ VARIOUS LOCATIONS — Officers investigated nine crashes Tuesday.

▲ Officers issued one traffic citation and three traffic warnings and assisted three motorists.

▲ SOUTHERN PINES — A person was judicially referred to university authorities for discipline over drug complaints. The person was not criminally charged.

In a separate case, someone reported criminal trespass.
