INCIDENTS
Reported Thursday:
Statesboro Police Department
No incident reports filed Friday.
Bulloch County Sheriff's Office
CLITO ROAD - A man reported a gun stolen from his truck. The incident occurred at a party he attended in August, he said.
OPTIM ORTHOPEDICS - A woman said an unknown young man who appeared to be around 16 or 17 years old opened a door for her, then "got in her face" and tried to kiss her. He was gone when deputies arrived at the scene.
FLEMINGTON ROAD - A deputy responded to a report of unruly juveniles on a school bus. The driver told deputies she contacted her supervisors, who directed her to pull over while they called law enforcement, according to reports. She said she was told to hold the students on the bus and not allow them to leave until law enforcement arrived. She said there were several parents on the scene, "agitated and making threats." She said she was directed to release the students prior to deputies' arrival.
COUNTRY LAKE ESTATES - A man told deputies he was threatened by an unknown male who said he would kidnap his daughter if he did not send him money ($200) in exchange for talking to a woman the complainant "met" on Facebook. The offender sent the victim a photo of the victim's daughter and indicated he knew by GPS where he lives, and sent him a photo from Google Map to show where the man lived, as "proof" he would make good on the threats. The offender stated her knew the victim was paid on Fridays and if he didn't get the cash he would "send a black car" to kidnap the girl. The calls and texts came from an Oklahoma City number, he said.
HAROLD HOWELL ROAD - A man reported another man who had been living with him stole a TV, guns and a PlayStation because he was high on crack and needed the money. The offender had broken into the home earlier, but the victim did not report the burglary because he didn't want "his best friend's father to go to jail."
Georgia Southern University Police
Officers issued two traffic citations and nine traffic warnings, as well as assisted one motorist.
