Statesboro Police Arrests
Eara Thomas Merritt, 24, Boyd Drive, Richmond Hill – criminal attempt to acquire controlled substances by fraudulent means, criminal attempt to obtain dangerous drugs by fraudulent means, first degree forgery.

Eugene Travon Sea, 19, Oak Hill Church Road, Millen – probation violation.

Troopers issued 12 traffic violation citations Wednesday.
Georgia Southern University Arrests
Officers issued four traffic citation Wednesday.
Matthew Garrett Burden, 19,Centennial Place — possession of marijuana.
Alex William Dye, 19, Centennial Place — with possession of marijuana.
Dior Damas Isom, 18, Centennial Place — burglary and financial transaction card fraud.
Ahad Ahmadi, 18, Statesboro Place — burglary and financial transaction card fraud.
Statesboro Police Incidents
CLUB ZONE – A man who said he was part owner reported his partners took alcoholic beverages, TVs, cabinets, lights, coolers, computers and more without notifying or asking him.
COPPER BEECH TOWNHOUSES – Two men were injured when three other men tried robbing them. The offenders physically assaulted the victims, causing visible injuries.
SOUTH WALNUT STREET – A woman said her boyfriend punched her in the mouth and fled.
PINELAND MENTAL HEALTH RESPITE HOME – (North Edgewood Drive) Two consumers fought on the porch and one went to the hospital for a head injury.
BELK – A woman shoplifted an assortment of clothing.
MINCEY STREET – A man shot another in the leg during an argument. The offender went to jail and the other went to the hospital, where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injury.
Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents
RAY HOWELL ROAD – (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of a riding lawn mower.
EARLY LANE – (Statesboro) A man noticed a trespasser on his property and questioned the offender, who admitted “using the bathroom” in the woods. However, he was suspicious because the man backed up to a pile of I—beams.
EDENFIELD LANE – (Statesboro) A woman told deputies a man hit her in the face.
MILL BRANCH HUNTING CLUB – (Brooklet) A tool box, outdoor camera and box of camouflage paint were stolen.
LAWRENCE CHURCH ROAD – (Pembroke) A man and woman argued until someone called deputies.
COURTNEY WAY – (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of a white 1999 Crown Victoria.
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
Troopers issued six warnings and investigated five crashes with one fatality Wednesday.
No further information regarding the fatality was available Thursday.
Georgia Southern University Incidents
Officers assisted three motorists and issued four traffic citations Wednesday.
CENTENNIAL PLACE — Officers responded to a drug complaint at Centennial Place.
SOUTHERN PINES — A resident reported his laptop and a credit card missing from his room.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BUILDING — A student reported her vehicle's tag was taken while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot.
EAGLE DINING — A supervisor reported a terminated employee did not return several uniforms.
EAGLE VILLAGE — Officers responded to an alcohol—related incident. Four students were referred to Judicial Affairs.
