3 new partners at Dabbs, Hickman, Hill & Cannon

        The certified public accounting firm of Dabbs, Hickman, Hill and Cannon, LLP announces that Tal R. Johnson, Vivian S. Myers and Austin K. York were named as partners with the firm. In their new leadership capacity, they join a firm that has served clients for nearly 50 years.
        Johnson is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. He also has a master of accountancy degree from Georgia Southern University.
        Johnson joined the firm in 2005 and specializes in small business financial reporting, audit, tax planning and preparation, and business advisory services.
        His community involvement has included Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man of the Year, UGA Terry College of Business Young Alumni Board, Leadership Savannah, Rotary Club of Statesboro, and the Chamber of Commerce. Also, Johnson has served as past president for the Savannah Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and treasurer of the Savannah USO.
        He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Statesboro First United Methodist Church.
        Johnson is married to Katie Byrd Johnson, and they have one daughter, Byrdie.
        Myers is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. While at Georgia Southern, she was a member of Beta Alpha Psi accounting honor society.
        Myers joined the firm in 1995. She is experienced in small business accounting, business advisory services, and income taxation of individuals, corporations, and partnerships. Myers serves as secretary and treasurer of Joseph's Home for Boys. She also serves on the health industry committee and has served on the special events committee of the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce.
        She was past president for the Southeast Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and is involved with the American Diabetes Association as well as other civic organizations. She is a member of the 2007 Leadership Bulloch Class and was selected to the Business Report and Journals 40 under 40 in 2008.
        Myers is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She attends Beulah Baptist Church and is married to Billy Myers.
        York is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting as well as a master of accountancy degree.
        He has been with the firm since 2009 and specializes in small business financial reporting, personal financial planning, audit, and tax planning and preparation.
        York's community involvement has included treasurer of The Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity, treasurer of the Humane Society of Greater Savannah, treasurer of Long Point Property Owners Association, Inc., and vice president of the Savannah Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Isle of Hope United Methodist Church.
        York and his wife, Kelly, have one son, Walker.
