Mr. and Mrs. Josh Donald Tucker

    Catherine Anne Holley and Josh Donald Tucker, both of Statesboro, were married on October 6, 2012, at six o’clock in the evening at Cottage 126, Sea Island. Judge J. Kendall Gross, friend of the groom, performed the double-ring ceremony.
    Nuptial music was provided by the Ambiance Trio and solo by Anna Hodges, singing "Heavenly Day."
    The bride is the daughter of Wendy and Bill Johnson of Darien and Steve Holley of Contentment Bluff. Paternal grandparents of the bride are Henry Holley of Tallahassee, Florida, and the late Opal Holley. Her maternal grandparents are Bill and Sarah Smet of Sherrard, Illinois, and John and Dawn Stemple of Indianapolis, Indiana.
    The groom is the son of Jim and Becky Outlaw of St. Simons Island and the late Lehman Tucker Jr., formerly of Metter. Paternal grandparents of the groom are Mildred Bland of Richmond Hill and the late Donald Bland. His maternal grandparents are Annie Will Watson of St. Simons Island and the late Jack Watson.
    The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory re-embroidered lace and Chantilly lace, featuring a sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves, signature low back and trumpet skirt with a sweep train. She carried a hand-tied all white bouquet of hydrangea, ranunculus, tulips, lisianthus, Queen Anne’s lace and a hint of baby’s breath.
    The matron of honor was Anna Saunds Hodges of Reidsville and bridesmaid was Laura Jackson Ginn of St. Simons Island. They wore charcoal gray silk chiffon dresses, with one-shoulder necklines, and carried hand-tied bouquets of blue hydrangea, white lisianthus, Queen Anne’s lace and baby’s breath.
    Junior bridesmaid was Abigail Tucker of Metter, daughter of the groom, who wore a floor-length ivory chiffon dress with a ruched bodice and spaghetti straps. She had a headband fashioned from white ranunculus, lisianthus and hints of baby’s breath.
    Honorary bridesmaid was Courtney Harris Holley of Darien, sister-in-law of the bride, who wore a full-length navy blue dress with a halter neckline and beaded waistband. She also carried a hand-tied bouquet of blue hydrangea, white lisianthus, Queen Anne’s lace and baby’s breath.
    The flower girls were Alenea Holley of Darien, niece of the bride, and Caroline Hodges of Reidsville. They wore full-length ivory satin dresses with two layers of tulle and halos of rosemary and baby’s breath in their hair.
    The best man was Bland Tucker of Metter, son of the groom. Ushers were Matt Holley of Darien, brother of the bride, and Rand Hendrix of Metter and Blake Hendrix of Twin City, nephews of the groom. The ring bearer was Harris Holley of Darien, nephew of the bride.
    Following the ceremony, the wedding was celebrated with a reception at Cottage 126, Sea Island, hosted by the bride and groom.
    A rehearsal dinner was held at the same location.
    Following a trip to Belize, Central America, the couple will live in Statesboro.

    Prenuptial Events
    A barbecue to celebrate the couple’s engagement was held on May 12 at The Get-A-Way in Metter. It was hosted by Bill and Virginia Anne Waters, Joey and Pam Pittman, Tommy and Suzanne Hunt, Wes and Traci Clifton, Kendall and Sara Gross, Matt and Linda Hube, Virgil and Sylvia Harville, Sue Franklin and Ellen Lanier.
    A party/shower was held at Contentment Bluff on September 8 and was hosted by Steve Holley, Margaret Everett, Jim and Becky Outlaw and Randy and Rhonda Hendrix.
    A monogram shower was held at Open Gates Bed and Breakfast on September 9 and hosted by Laura Jackson Ginn, Anna Saunds Hodges, Dinah Jackson, Courtney Holley, Maggie Turner, Roxane McKinzie and Keisha Howard.
