Dr. Tim Giles and Nina Freifeld Giles of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Beth Giles of Los Angeles, California, to Michael Martin Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Hagy of Marietta, Ga.
    The bride-elect graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University with a BA in
theater and a minor in writing. She works as a freelance web editor in Los Angeles.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Margaret Martin. He graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in theater.
    The couple is planning to wed on September 23, 2014, at 4 p.m. at the Mackey House in Savannah.
