Ms. Bonnie Allmond of Portal and Mr. and Mrs. Stevie and Shannon Thomas of Garfield, Ga., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, April N. Thomas, to Christopher A. McCloy, son of Mr. Angus McCloy of Savannah and Ms. Linda McCloy of Statesboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Marie Youngblood of Portal and the late Sidney Allmond, Mrs. Laura Thomas of Augusta and the late Steve Thomas, and Mrs. Doris Jenkins of Portal and the late Franklin Jenkins. She is a 2003 graduate of Portal High School and is currently employed as assistant manager with Southern Finance Company in Statesboro.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Thomas Bridges of Brooklet and the late Ruth Saturday and the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Francis McCloy. He is currently employed as machine operator with Loxcreen Company in Brooklet.
The couple plans to wed September 6th, 2008, at 3 p.m. in Portal at The Aaron Church of God.
