    Alexis Lewis became the bride of Abram Taylor during a 3 p.m. ceremony held on February 16, 2008, at the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Pastor Roland Barnes officiated.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. Thomas E. and Melanie Lewis of Statesboro and is the granddaughter of Walter and Sara Lewis, Clayton and Claire Phillips and Lewis and Hazel Hendrix.
    The groom is the son of Dr. Tom and Pam Taylor of Evans, Ga.
    Given in marriage by her father, Thomas E. Lewis, Alexis wore a gold fit and flare strapless gown with elaborate embroidery decorated with Swarovski crystals on net overlays. The hemline was trimmed with flounced taffeta onto the chapel-length train.
    Alaina Lewis, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Allie Lewis, Kara Gaylor, Samantha Claborn, Savanna Lambert, Bonnie Jones, Ashley Hill, Courtney Akins, Laura Bickerton, Abbe Schutter, Corrie Cohen and Jennifer Provencher.
    The groom chose his brother, Seth Taylor, to be his best man. Groomsmen were Bubba Lewis, Justin Peay, Houston Madson, James Boothe, Nikko Giovino, Matt Odum, Chris Horne, Will Perkins, Tony Powledge, Tony Corujo and Josh Kuhn.
    Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Forest Heights Country Club. Servers were Johnna Ware, Alicia Baird and Shantelle Mosley.
    The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Statesboro Inn.
    The couple honeymooned in Los Angeles, Calif., and now resides in Statesboro.
