Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Knight of Shellman Bluff, Ga., formerly of Brooklet, announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Rebecca “Megan” Knight of Brooklet, to Jonathan Lance Rewis, Sergeant, United States Army. Sgt. Rewis is from Townsend, Ga., and he is the son of Mr. Mark Rewis and the late Mrs. Kimberly Lampp.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Shuman of Brooklet, Mrs. Brenda McCarthy and the late Mr. Aloysius McCarthy of Savannah and Mr. and Mrs. Willie Knight of Brooklet. Miss Knight will graduate from Georgia Southern University in May 2009 with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education.
    Sgt. Rewis is a soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division and stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. He is expected to deploy for a second tour later this year. He is the grandson of Mrs. Barbara Wallace and the late Mr. Buddy Wallace of Townsend, Ga., and Mr. Gene Rewis of Townsend.
    The couple has planned to wed on September 19, 2008, at 8 p.m. in an outdoor wedding on the grounds of Contentment Bluff in Shellman Bluff, Ga. All friends and family are invited.
    In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place at the Sapelo Saltwater Fishing Club in Shellman Bluff.
