Jodi Ann Burress John Parker Robbins
    Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Higingbotham and Joe Burress of McRae, Ga., announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jodi Ann Burress, to John Parker Robbins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Heyward Robbins of Sylvania.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marjory and the late Wade Harbin Jr. of McRae, Jane and the late W.L. “Nook” Burress of Lumber City, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Higingbotham of Eastman, Ga. She is a 2001 graduate of Telfair Co. High School and is a 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in special education. She is currently employed by the Newton Co. School System in Covington, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. M.H. Robbins Jr. of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Parker of Sylvania. He is a 1994 graduate of Screven Co. High School and is a 1999 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in physical education. He is currently employed by the Morgan Co. School System in Madison, Ga.
    The couple will exchange vows Saturday, June 16, 2007, at the McRae United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. A reception will follow at the Telfair Co. Recreation Department.
    No local invitations will be sent. All family and friends are invited to attend.
