Brittany Leigh Bartley of LaGrange, Ga., became the bride of Steven Earle Tanner of Statesboro on June 28, 2008, during a 7:30 p.m. ceremony held at Oakhurst in Pine Mountain, Ga. Stewart Moody officiated.
    The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Deborah Bartley of LaGrange and is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jean Mayfield and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bartley.
    The groom is the son of Steve and Maria Tanner of Statesboro and is the grandson of Mrs. Kitty Reynolds and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Lingo.
    Given in marriage by her parents, Jerry and Deborah Bartley, the bride wore an ivory V-neck spaghetti strapped lace sheath gown with a cross lace-up back. A slit in the front showed the ivory satin underneath, while organza ruffles trimmed the hem and the sweep lace train. A single layer floor-length veil was worn. The hand-tied bridal bouquet consisted of a mixture of champagne roses and brown calla lilies.
    Maids of honor were Brooke Bartley and Kristy Cook. Bridesmaids were Andrea Whitfield, Meredith Mines, Jenna Tyson, Melinda Bittick, Lindsay Watson and Brooke Malcom.
    McKinney Corbett, Riley Mayfield and Sara Mayfield were flower girls.
    Steve Tanner, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Josh Kaiser, Jason Whitfield, Will Hook, Adam Jones, Russell Jones, Stacy Spence, Alan Spence and Kevin Spence. Tanner Whitfield and Hyatt Mayfield were ring bearers.
    Following the ceremony, Jerry and Deborah Bartley, parents of the bride, hosted a reception at Oakhurst in Pine Mountain, Ga.
    The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and now resides in LaGrange.

    Prior to their wedding, Brittany Leigh Bartley and Steven Earle Tanner were guests of honor at many prenuptial parties.
    An Engagement Party was held on September 22, 2007, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bartley in LaGrange. Hosts were Deborah and Jerry Bartley, Cynthia and Bubba Mayfield, Teri and Danielle Rockel, Debra and Chuck Dye, Kim and Johnny Houser and Paula and Joey Keeth.
    An Around the Clock Shower was held on March 8, 2008, at A Taste of Lemon Restaurant. Hostesses were Brooke Bartley, Kristy Cook, Linda Golden and Teri Rockel.
    Mr. and Mrs. Steve Tanner of Statesboro hosted an Engagement Party for their son and future daughter-in-law on March 15, 2008, at their home. Other hosts were Ted and Denise Riner and Jason and Andrea Whitfield.
    A Miscellaneous Bridal Branch was held at the home of Brittany Bartley on March 29. The event was hosted by Meredith Mines, Betty Mines, Brooke Malcom and Emily Matheny.
    Melinda Bittick and Jenny Bittick hosted a Lingerie Shower at the home of Melinda Bittick on March 30.
    Panama City Beach, Fla., was the setting for a Bachelorette Weekend April 4-7. Hosts were Brittany Hale, Rachel Logan, Annette Hernandez and Jenna Tyson.
    An Around the House Shower was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Spence in Statesboro on April 26. Other hosts included Bryan and Jinci Evans, Wesley and Penny Hendrix, Ronny and Jennifer Newton, Jeffery and MaryAnne Moore, Stacy and Anna Spence, Skeebo and Donna Moore, Ricky and Mary Henley, Kevin and Kelly Spence and Greg and Janet Howard.
    On May 4, Lita Taylor hosted a Miscellaneous Family Shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mal Taylor.
    A Miscellaneous Bridal Shower     was held on May 17, at Long Cane Elementary School and hosted by the LCE fourth grade and LCE kindergarten teams.
    Dottie Jones, Liz Corbett, Julie Moody, Jenna Tyson, Lindsay Watson and Debbie Tyson hosted a Miscellaneous Brunch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Jones in Statesboro on May 24.
    A Handyman Shower was held at the Reddick Cabin in Statesboro. Hosts were Mike and Debra Hatten, Mike and Natalie Howard, Danny and Susan Kaiser, Josh and Kimberly Kaiser, Jeff and Melanie Reddick, Travis and Erin Shuman, Alan and Debbie Tyson and Stacy and Faye Webb.
    On the eve of the wedding, Steve and Maria Tanner of Statesboro, parents of the groom, hosted the Rehearsal Dinner at A Taste of Lemon in LaGrange.
