Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Emerson Rushing of Statesboro plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a drop-in reception to be held on Feb. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brooklet First Baptist Church, located on Highway 80. Johnny and the former Linda Sue Williams married on Feb. 14, 1967. They have two children, Clint Rushing and Cindy Rushing Saxon; and two grandchildren, Cal Saxon and Lucy Saxon, all of Statesboro. Johnny retired from the Statesboro Police Department and Georgia Southern University. Linda retired last year from Georgia Southern University. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
