SYLVANIA — The Screven County boys and girls tennis teams each advanced to the second round of the GHSA Class AA state playoffs on Wednesday. The Lady Gamecocks (19-2) beat Fitzgerald by virtue of a forfeit, and the boys (9-11) got wins from Jacob Lariscy and doubles pair Zachary Anderson/Matthew Thomas, as well as a forefeit at No. 3 singles.
