LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — First-place Little Rock women's basketball remained unbeaten in the league with a 92-52 Sun Belt Conference win over visiting Georgia Southern on Thursday afternoon at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock, Ark.

The Trojans (13-8, 10-0 SBC) also ran their current home Sun Belt winning streak to 24 games with the victory, while spoiling a Georgia Southern (4-17, 1-9 SBC) bid for back-to-back league wins. The Eagles wrap up their Arkansas trip on Saturday, playing at 4 p.m. Eastern time at Arkansas State in Sun Belt Conference action.

Little Rock opened up the contest on a 9-0 run, then after an Alexis Brown three-pointer, went on an 8-1 run to take a 17-4 lead with 2:50 left in the quarter. The Trojans carried that advantage into a 30-point halftime lead, 53-23, as Little Rock forced 16 turnovers by the Eagles in the first half, while shooting 64.7 percent from the field and also holding Georgia Southern to just 33 percent shooting.

In the second half, the Trojans cooled off from the field somewhat, but maintained defensive pressure as the Eagles could not cut into the large deficit. The final 40-point margin was the largest margin of defeat for Georgia Southern in a Sun Belt contest since the Eagles joined the league in 2014-15.

Nakol Franks led the Eagles offensively on the night with 13 points on 5-of-17 shooting from the floor, including 2-of-3 from three-point range. Alexis Brown added 11 points, while Hailey Dias-Allen chipped in 10 points.

Little Rock was led by Ronjanae's 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor and 3-of-3 from the free throw line. Tori Lasker added 15 points, while Yanina Inkina collected 14 points.

The Eagles shot just 34.7 percent from the floor (17-of-49) and connected on only 4-of-17 three-pointers (23.5 percent) while knocking down 14 of 21 free throws (66.7 percent). Little Rock shot 52.8 percent from the floor (38-of-72) while hitting 8-of-19 three-pointers (42.1 percent) and 8-of-9 free throws (88.9 percent).
