    Georgia Southern Men’s Soccer will honor its six seniors in a pregame ceremony before tonight’s 7 p.m. match.
    The Eagles face Appalachian State to begin the second half of the league schedule. Saturday’s match can be seen live on GS All-Access from GSEagles.com.
    Georgia Southern is 4-8-0 on the season with a 0-3 mark in SoCon play. Of those eight losses, seven have been by a single goal.
    The Eagles will look to snap a four-game skid against Appalachian State who improved to 3-3-6 on the season with a win on Tuesday night.
    The Mountaineers took down the first place Wofford Terriers on Tuesday to go to 1-2-1 in league play.

GSU women face UGA
    Georgia Southern women’s tennis team hits the road for University of Georgia this weekend to compete in the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament. 
    The Eagles participating in the tournament are Paola Garrido, Jordana Klein, Caitlin Kitchen, Stephi Woods, and Mary Phillips Smith.

SEB JV dominates Toombs County
    LYONS — The Southeast Bulloch junior varsity Yellow Jackets shut out Toombs County on Thursday with a 43-0 win on the road.
    The scoring came from everywhere on the offense for SEB (5-1), with rushing touchdowns by Cecil McCollum, Deondre Boyle, Rodney Brazell and Caleb Carter.
    Jaylen Wells threw a touchdown pass to McCollum, and Carter connected with Tyler Collins for a score.
    Kicker Evan Schlierf was 4 for 4 on extra points.
    The Yellow Jackets play host to Screven County on Thursday in the regular season finale in Brooklet.

Eagles to play last fall scrimmage
    The Georgia Southern baseball team will host its final scrimmage under the lights at J.I. Clements Stadium on Nov. 2. Coach Rodney Hennon and his 2014 squad are inviting all the Eagle fans in town for the Furman game to come over and watch some baseball.
    Free refreshments and food will be served and first pitch is set for 7 p.m.
    The full gameday experience will be in tow for Saturday with PA, music, scoreboard, lineups, umpires, jerseys and rosters.
