Georgia Southern's men’s soccer program announced its 2012 schedule Friday.
    The slate consists of seven Southern Conference games, five regular-season home games and trips to Wake Forest and defending national champion North Carolina. Six of GSU's 17 games are against teams that played in last season’s NCAA Tournament.
    The season starts with three straight road games, beginning with an Aug. 26 trip to UAB.
    GSU’s first homestand starts Sept. 8 with North Florida coming to Statesboro.
    SoCon games start Oct. 6 at Davidson.
    The SoCon Tournament starts Nov. 3 with first round games at conference sites. The semifinals and final are Nov. 9 and Nov. 11 at Furman’s Stone Stadium in Greenville, S.C.
