The Blue Devils will be one of 16 teams playing a full slate of games that runs through Saturday evening.
“We have a lot of local teams this year — Southeast Bulloch, Portal, Screven, Swainsboro — it’ll be good for the community,” said SHS coach Karry Parker. “It’ll be another good competitive tournament.”
All games will be played at Mill Creek and the tournament starts today at 3:30 p.m. — weather permitting.
“We are going to do our best to get all the games in,” said Parker. “If we’re starting the last game (tonight) at 10 p.m., I don’t have a problem with that. It’s important we try to get two games in for everyone (on Friday) because no one wants to play six in one day.”
Each team will play three games before their records dictate which bracket they fall into on Saturday afternoon.
The teams will be divided into four groups — Gold, Silver, Bronze and White — and a champion will be crowned in each.
