Mrs. Lisa Machelle Smith

Mrs. Lisa Machelle Smith, age 58, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Ga., after an extended illness.

Lisa was a Bulloch County native and was employed with Pineland Mental Health as a support tech until her health failed years ago.

She was also a member of True Life Ministries of Bulloch County.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Smith, Statesboro, Ga.; children, Kendra (Timothy) Moore, Statesboro, Ga.; Shantell (James) Wilson, Duluth, Ga.; Courtney (Adam) Murphy and Dartavius Smith, Statesboro, Ga.; sisters, Yvonne Wilkerson, Kathy Wilkerson and Debra Smart, all of Statesboro, Ga.; Cynthia (Jeffrey) O’Neal, Atlanta, Ga.; and Sirberina (Cottrel) Jiles, Palm Bay, Fla.; brothers, Herbert Lanier, Larry Lanier, Pastor Ronald (Carolyn) Wilkerson, Ricky Lanier, Donnie Lovett, Alton Lovett, all of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Chapel, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, GA 30458.

The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 7829 Georgia Highway 24, Statesboro, GA 30461. Interment will be at the Eastside Cemetery, 1502 Northside Drive, Statesboro, GA 30458.

The celebration of life service will be live-streamed via the funeral home's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Craig-R-Tremble-Funeral-Homes-Inc.

We will adhere to CDC guidelines.
