STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mr. Frank Smith Sr., age 78, passed into rest April 27, 2022, at the Brown’s Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was the son of the late Grover and Lee Joe Harvey Smith Sr.
He attended the public school system of Bulloch County.
At an early age, he was employed with Bulloch Fertilizer Company, where he worked for over 42 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Gary Smith; siblings, Dorothy Moore, Grover Smith Jr., Willie Joe Smith and Zema Smith Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alma L. Weaver Smith, Statesboro, Ga.; his children, Randy Smith, South Bend, Ind.; Daniel (Lisa) Smith and Mark ((Joann) Smith, both of Statesboro, Ga.; Terry Raymond, Swainsboro, Ga.; Dexter Smith, Calvin Smith, Frank Smith Jr., Stacey (Yolanda) Smith and Sheronda Smith, all of Statesboro, Georgia; a brother, George Smith, Jacksonville, Fla.; 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
A walk-through visitation for Mr. Smith will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, at Hill’s Mortuary, Inc. from the hours of 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The funeral service for Mr. Frank Smith Sr. will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church (Clito) with the pastor, the Rev. Arthur Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
