Obits

Barbara Ann Hall Atkins, age 77, of Cordele went home to Jesus, Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at home, with her loving family by her side.

Barbara was born in Crisp County and was the daughter of the late Mitchell Churchwell Hall Sr. and Lillian Pauline Ryals Hall. As a young woman, she worked as a licensed cosmetologist, doing what she so greatly loved. Barbara was a fiercely dedicated mother to all three of her daughters. Family and God came first and above all else to her, a precious value that she instilled in all those around her. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Barbara greatly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout her entire life. She held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with all those who surrounded her.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Felicia Ann Barefoot (Chad) of Statesboro, Alexandria Page Kuykendall (Johnny) of Manchester, and Kiley Rae Atkins (Phoebe) of Grovetown; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Phillips (Mike), Autumn Barefoot, Savannah Barefoot, Blaine Cardwell, Cameron Theus, Clacie Atkins and Abby Atkins; and five great-grandchildren, Avery Phillips, Adalyn Phillips, Asher Phillips, Grayson Rose and Kiley Theus.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024, in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services, with burial following in Sunnyside Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
