Sylvania, Ga. — Ms. Janet Elaine Coyle Taylor, age 63, died Friday August 31, 2018, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro. Janet was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Joseph Michael Coyle and Audrey Marsh Coyle.

Janet graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1977 and Ana Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts with a Master’s of Science in Nursing in 1992. Janet served several hospitals including Kent County Memorial in Warwick, R.I., and King Faisal Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 1991 she began working with Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro. Additionally she served hospitals in Florida and Arizona. Janet’s last hospital of service was Memorial Medical Center in Savannah where she worked from 2004, until retiring due to declining health, in June of 2016.

Janet was known for her love of entertaining and hosting tea parties at her home in Sylvania. She was a master quilter and shared her talents by making quilts for family and friends and giving them as gifts at special occasions.

She was a member of Wades Baptist Church in Screven County.

Janet is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James Michael Coyle and Anh Coyle of Mililani, Hawaii and a sister, Sheelagh Gulick of Mesa, Arizona. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of Janet’s life and memorial service will be Sunday September 2, 2018, at 3:00pm at her home located at 284 Dover Road, Sylvania, Georgia 30467. Rev. Dan Joyner will officiate and friends and family will speak. Her ashes will be inurned in the family memorial garden.

The services will be followed by a time of fellowship and enjoying refreshments.
