PALM COAST, Fla./STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Lisa Ann Lewis Onove, age 46, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.
The Statesboro, Georgia, native attended Statesboro High School, where she was active in the band. She transferred to Southeast Bulloch High School her senior year.
Lisa worked in Savannah for several years and later married Joe Onove. She and Joe traveled with his military career, living in Georgia, Colorado, California and later Palm Coast, Florida. Most of her time was spent as a homemaker and enjoying her greatest passion of traveling.
Lisa was of the Baptist faith and attended Eastern Heights Baptist Church when she was home visiting.
She was known for her love and desire to help others and she had a smile that brightened the room when she entered.
Surviving are her husband, Joe Onove of Palm Coast, Fla.; her son, Jordon Miles of Palm Coast, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Holly Biggs of Portland, Ore.; and Jessica Onove of Troy, Mo.; her parents, Lynda Steed Lewis and Bubba Lewis of Statesboro; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marianne and Anthony Lefebvre of Brooklet and Susan and Buddy Pullam of Statesboro; her nieces and nephews, Matthew Dunigan, Emily and Charlie Lefebvre and Bailey Hendrix; and her great-niece, Lakelynn Willow Lariscy.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Dr. Harry Sherrer officiating. Interment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Lefebvre, Phil Cowan, Brian Jones, Gary Dunigan, Richie Brown and Alan Tankersley.
