Mrs. Frances Weaver “Curly” Lee, 88, of Sylvania, Ga., passed away December 28, 2018, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
    She was born in Screven County to the late Norman T. and Mattie McKethan Weaver in 1930.
    She was retired from White Stag Company and was a member of the Buck Creek United Methodist Church.
    As a resident of Syl-View Healthcare Center, she was crowned Ms. Syl-View in 2014. She had a great love for children and her family.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol D. Lee; brothers, James K. Weaver and William Thomas Weaver; sisters, Nelvin Weaver Graham and Deweese Weaver Smith; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Swain.
    She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lynn Weaver of Sylvania; sisters and brother-in-law, Marion Swain of Woodstock, Ga.; and Marjorie and Billy Williams of Sylvania; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Lillian Weaver of Sylvania and Norman E. and Geraldine Weaver of Newington, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
    The funeral service will be held Monday, December 31, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Buck Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Purnell officiating and assisted by Harrell Fries and the Rev. Jason McClendon.
    The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
    Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
    Pallbearers will be Gary Weaver, Wayne Weaver, Andy Shanklin, Mike Cason, Justin Brannen and Duane Weaver.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Weaver, James Weaver, Kenny Weaver, Ted Weaver, Franklin Smith, Chip Weaver and Timmy Weaver.
    In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to the Buck Creek United Methodist Church, in care of Angie Johnson, 1090 Old Poor Robin Road, Sylvania, GA 30467; or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
    The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Syl-View Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care provided to Mrs. Curly during her stay.
