BROOKLET -- James E. "Jim" Jackson, 71, of Brooklet, passed away Saturday, August 4th, 2018, at Candler Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born August 15th, 1946, to Edward N. Jackson and Pauline K. Jackson in Rome (Lindale), Georgia. He grew up in LaFayette, Georgia, and was a graduate of LaFayette High School Class of 1964.
He was retired from both CSX and the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam, Desert Storm and other conflicts.
He is survived by his daughter, Jayme Jackson Conner; son, Alan Jackson; grandchildren, Johnny Conner Jr., Victoria (Conner) Myers and Hunter Jackson.
