Vandalism of gravesites in a Nevils-area cemetery have Bulloch County sheriff's investigators seeking the public's help in finding the culprits.

Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said citizens contacted his office this week to report graffiti and other vandalism at a family cemetery on Anderson Cemetery Road.

Several gravestones were defaced by graffiti, including pentagrams, and headstones were toppled throughout this month, Anderson said.

"Family members ... are asking anyone with information on who might have damaged the cemetery to contact Capt. Todd Hutchens at (912) 764-1787 or submit an anonymous tip online to tips@bullochsheriff.com," the sheriff said.

The Bulloch County Sheriff's Office is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
