Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputies responding to a welfare check arrested a man and woman they suspect were manufacturing methamphetamine. Once they arrived at the Clevy Deloach Road location in Pembroke, where anonymous callers said a couple were experiencing domestic problems, deputies found Toby Cortez Hickman, 29, Clevy Deloach Road, and Lacie Renea Lanier, 33, Lanier Road, Pembroke, sitting in a car. Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said Hickman gave deputies a false name when they questioned him, and then fled on foot.
