The Statesboro Regional Sexual Assault Center invites the public to participate in one of two community forums.

The first is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Pittman Park United Methodist Church, 1102 Fair Road. The second is set for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Willow Hill Heritage and Renaissance Center, 4235 Willow Hill Road, near Portal.

Each forum will include a discussion about the center's planned expansion of its services to include a Child Advocacy Center.

"We strive to provide a space for the evaluation of alleged abuse that will not only help children to help safe throughout the process but will also help to secure justice for the children in these situations," according to a flier announcing the forums.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact Christie Perry, the executive director of the Sexual Assault Center, at (912) 489-6060 or SRSAC@frontiernet.net.
