A Statesboro man who police say beat a 5-year-old girl during a domestic dispute Sunday was arrested and is being held without bond. Around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, a woman called police to report the incident that occurred at a West Jones Avenue residence, according to Statesboro police reports. Soloman Lee Jr., 23, with listed addresses on Morris Street and Stadium Walk, both in Statesboro, is charged with aggravated assault (involving hands, fists or feet as weapons used); aggravated battery (domestic violence); first-degree cruelty to children (maliciously causing excessive pain); and third-degree cruelty to children (allowing a child to witness forcible felony, battery or family violence), according to Bulloch County Jail records.
