The Southern Manor Group will host an information session about an alternative option to pay for senior care at an event called “Exploring VA Benefits” on Tuesday at The Gardens Senior Living Community.

The event will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for people that have questions about if they could potentially qualify for supplemental VA benefits. There will be complimentary desserts and coffee.

Veterans and or surviving spouses of veterans, who are seeking additional ways to pay for senior living, could be eligible for “Aid and Attendance.” 

Ralph Cowart, co-owner of The Southern Manor Group, will speak at the event and answer questions regarding VA benefits.  

“A lot of families don’t know about this pension.  It can provide significant financial support to qualified veterans aged 65 and their spouses,” said Cowart, who currently serves at the president of the Assisted Living Association of Georgia.
