Three burglaries have occurred in Evans County during the daytime hours over the last two weeks in the area of Highway 129 and Rufus Sapp Road.

The first two burglaries occurred Thursday, December 2, and the third occurred Wednesday, December 15, said Bryant Jones, intelligence analyst.

All three burglaries took place when subjects entered homes through a rear entrance by prying open a door, he said. All items taken in the thefts are small and portable such as televisions, laptop computers, money and jewelry, Jones said.

Jones, along with Evans Co. Sheriff Randall Tippins, is encouraging residents to be vigilant in their neighborhoods for any suspicious vehicles or persons and to report any such suspicious activity immediately to the Evans Co. Sheriff’s Office at 912-739-1611.
