The Savannah Jaycees have planned an event for Tuesday that they hope will lead to a new chapter of the civic organization based in Statesboro. The event is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. at Gnat's Landing, 470 S. Main St. The organization says it is for people ages 21-40 who seek to network, positively impact the community and make lifelong friends. "We are very excited about expanding into the Statesboro area," said Sarah Westberry of Wells Fargo Business Banking and the president of the Savannah Jaycees.
