ROTC recruiter at GSU is named tops in nation

      Lt. Col. William Roberts (USA, retired) will be presented with the U.S. Army's Recruiting Operations Officer award during a ceremony Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the Georgia Southern University's ROTC building lobby.
      Roberts is Georgia Southern's Scholarship and Enrollment Officer and is being recognized as the top ROTC enrollment officer in the country.
      Georgia Southern has seen a significant increase in the number of ROTC enrollments in the last several years. Lt. Col. Roberts, and some ROTC students will be on hand to talk about their decision to make ROTC part of their education. Many of the students will go on to serve in the U.S. Army after graduation.
      The public is invited to attend Monday’s 11:30 a.m. ceremony on GSU’s campus.
