▲ SOUTHWEST BROAD STREET — Someone reported a theft

by deception and theft by receiving stolen property.

▲ AIRPORT ROAD — Deputies responded to a report of simple battery.

▲ JUANITA RANCH ROAD — Investigators responded to a report of child molestation. No arrests gave yet been reported.

▲ HIGHWAY 46 — Investigators also responded to a report of aggravated child molestation, with no arrests yet reported.

▲ ROSEMARY CHURCH ROAD — Someone reported a theft.

▲ SILO LANE — Deputies responded to a report of criminal trespass.

 Evans County Sheriff’s Office

▲ FIRETOWER ROAD — On two separate occasions, deputies responded to a domestic dispute.

▲ LOTTS ROAD — A woman was arrested for battery for fighting with her husband. The man was not arrested at the time because he fell off a porch, hit his head and was taken to the hospital.

 Brooklet Police Department

▲ Last week, officers issued 11 speeding citations and one citation each for stop sign violation, no license on person, tail light violation and expired tag. Officers also took reports for a runaway juvenile and misdemeanor theft.

 Portal Police Department

▲ For the week of Nov. 1–7, officers issued 11 traffic tickets and nine warnings, assisted three motorists, responded to 15 calls for service, and performed several business, school and safety checks.

▲ During the week of Oct. 28–Nov. 3, firefighters responded to 29 calls, including a residential kitchen fire at Bermuda Run, a commercial kitchen fire at a Northside Drive East location, an agency assist for Bulloch Fire with a structure fire on Nesmith-Proctor Road, a dumpster fire, two electrical issues, a false call, 13 fire alarms, one carbon monoxide alarm and one vehicle accident.
