What was meant to be a call for assistance with locating probation violation offenders Tuesday ended with Bulloch County Drug Suppression Team investigators arresting several on drug charges.

Bulloch County sheriff’s deputies were assisting the state Department of Community Supervision (probation department) Tuesday, trying to locate Daymond Lee Waldron, of Roberts Road in Ellabell, who was believed to be at a Martin Swinson Road location, said Investigator Jim Riggs.

Waldron was not at the residence, so deputies and probation officers checked across the road and found Waldron’s son, Jacob Raymond Waldron, 22, and April Lynn Strickland, 31, who both lived at the Martin Swinson Road address, he said. Each of them were also wanted on probation warrants and were arrested.

Further investigation sent probation officers and deputies to a Big Bay Boulevard address, where Daymond Waldron was suspected to be, Riggs said.

The senior Waldron, as well as three others, were found in a bedroom inside the home, where there were also drugs and drug-related paraphernalia, he said.

“There was an amount of methamphetamine and some smoking pipes,” he said.

Deputies arrested four at the scene: Nancy Pauline Futch, 47,  of Salt Creek Road in Savannah; Christina Diane Lang, 40, of Roberts Road in Ellabell; and William Gregory Taylor, 47, of Sylvania Road in Sylvania, all charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession/use of drug-related objects; and Daymond Waldron, 41, charged with felony probation violation, possession of methamphetamine and possession/use of drug-related objects.

State probation officers arrested Strickland and Jacob Waldron, both charged with felony probation violation. Jacob Waldron was also charged with a bench warrant.

All suspects were taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where they await bond and other court hearings.
