Statesboro police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man suspected in a recent burglary.A “be on the lookout” posted on the Statesboro Police Department Facebook page asks citizens to report any information they may have on Shannon Xavier Sawyer, a suspect in a recent burglary at The Grove Apartments.The flier lists a police report number connecting the suspect to a specific incident. The report states a victim said two flat-screen TVs, two laptop computers, an acoustic guitar, an Apple TV device, a PlayStation 3 and games were stolen between 6:50 p.m. Aug. 30 and 12:30 a.m. Aug. 31.Anyone with information about Sawyer’s whereabouts is asked to contact Statesboro police Detective Tommy Brown at (912) 764-9911.Anonymous tips may be submitted online at www.tipsoft.com or by sending a text message beginning with “TIPSSPD” to 274637 (CRIMES). All information is strictly confidential, according to Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner.
