INCIDENTS

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ CODY LANE — Twice in one day deputies responded to calls about a very young child wandering alone. The first time the child was returned to his mother. Deputies stated in reports she did not appear concerned and said the boy often visited friends “across the field.” She was admonished to watch her child better. A short time later deputies were called again about the same child wandering. When deputies returned him home again, they noted that the mother did not appear impaired. Caseworkers with the Department of Family and Children were notified of the case and it was turned over to them. The woman told deputies he first time the child strayed she was “laying her other child to sleep,” and the second time he wandered, she had been asleep with both children.

▲ HILLWOOD DRIVE — A woman reported three necklaces missing and other items shifted around after someone broke in, apparently through a window.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ EAGLE COURT CONDOMINIUMS — A man complained to police he is being harassed by a “large amount of text messages and calls from his child’s mother.”

▲ NORTH MAIN STREET QUIK STOP — An officer noted damage to a building and contacted the owner. The officer did not know whether an offender entered the building (a closed convenience store.)

▲ DENMARK STREET — Someone reported a bicycle stolen.

▲ THE HAMPTONS — Someone reported an unwanted person damaged property.

▲ AZALEA DRIVE — Warrants were issued for a man for fleeing and attempt to elude, as well as reckless driving, after he abandoned a vehicle and fled on foot. An officer tried to pull him over on a traffic violation.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Officers issued no traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted two motorists.

▲ FAIR ROAD — Officers assisted Statesboro police with an unspecified call.

▲ DINING COMMONS — A person was reportedly injured.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — Statesboro police asked GSU officers for assistance with an unspecified call.
