STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Erika Patrice Howard, 28, Jordan Street, East Dublin — theft by shoplifting, obstruction.
    Kelly Jean Hackle, 40, Institute Street — wanted person.
    Charles Mark Smoak, 59, North College Street — refusal to sign citations, failure to maintain lane, fleeing/attempt to elude, failure to obey traffic control device, failure to yield and third offense DUI.
    Richard Emil Conner, 21, Silvergate Lane, Mableton — open container, failure to maintain lane, DUI.
    Mallory Lea Avera, 19, Homer Bunch Road — seat belt violation, suspended license.

Incidents
    EASTVIEW APARTMENTS — A woman said someone broke in and stole a bottle of prescription medicine.
    WENDWOOD DRIVE — A man was cut when another man threw a glass bottle against the wall. The offender agreed to pay the victim’s medical bills but has not yet done so.
    WALMART — A woman fled when confronted about shoplifting almost $200 worth of clothes.
    CAMPUS CLUB APARTMENTS — A man reported the theft of two TVs, a lap top computer, Xbox 360, PlayStation, rosaries, necklaces, and shoes.
    RUCKER LANE — A couple argued and struggled over the phone when the woman tried calling 911.
    EASTVIEW APARTMENTS — A woman said a man hit her and dragged her around by her hair. He was gone when police arrived.
    PINELAND MENTAL HEALTH — A woman said her ex-boyfriend came to her work place and tried choking her.
    HERITAGE BANK OF THE SOUTH — Bank employees called police to report two women who made a suspicious phone call from the bank.
    SOUTH MAIN STREET — A man reported the theft of Blu-ray movies, two bottles of liquor and a 12—pack of ramen noodles.
    KMART — A man reported a woman who left her six—year-old child in the parking lot and drove off. The woman told police she was trying to teach the child a lesson. The officer notified the Department of Family and Children Services.

Arrests
    Jillian April Koenig, 28, Shaw Road, Brooklet — DUI (refused test), failure to maintain lane.
    Eric Juan Sauls, 18, Steven Street, Danville — probation violation.
    Terrence Antonio Webster, 21, Pamela Way — marijuana possession.
    Lisa Martino, 44, Sandy Farms Road, Pembroke — obstruction, giving false identity to law enforcement.
 
Incidents
    ST. ANDREWS CIRCLE — (Statesboro) A woman asked to make a report of her boyfriend striking her a week prior to her discussion with deputies. The man said she had been intoxicated and he did not hit her.
    SWALLOWTAIL DRIVE — (Statesboro) A woman reported the theft of a security box, coin collection and sparring gear.
    KEY AKINS ROAD — (Statesboro) A man reported another man who spun out of his yard, driving recklessly, after an argument.
    BELL ROAD — (Brooklet) A man suffered a facial laceration and said his father threw him off the porch. The father said his son suffers seizures and injured himself when he tried calming his son. He said he fell off the porch and cut himself when his glasses broke.
