Police Report 7-24-11; CLAUDE BROWN ROAD (Portal) A man reported the theft of a deep freezer

ARRESTS
    Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Statesboro Police Arrests
    Janette Leigh Gordy, 23, Lanier Drive – DUI, failure to maintain lane.
    Katina Michelle Posadas, 38, Lotts Creek Road, Claxton – suspended license.

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Arrests
    Lamonte Santel Youmans, 24, Dogwood Avenue, Claxton – probation violation.

Brooklet Police Arrests
    Jerry Thomas Pritchard, 19, Bennett Grooms Road, Brooklet - suspended license, unregistered vehicle.

INCIDENTS
    Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Statesboro Police Incidents
    MERYWOOD DRIVE – A man heard a “thud” I the kitchen while he was playing video games in the living rom. When he checked, the back door was opened.
    NORTH MAIN STREET – A man and woman fought physically over financial matters while in a car. When the woman exited the car, the man dragged her back inside, she said.
    PROPERTY MART – A woman swung at another, cursed office staff and threatened them.
    WALMART – A wallet was taken from a car.
    KENNEDY STREET – A radio and two coin collections were reported stolen.
    FAIR ROAD – A woman reported having a physical fight with a man after he had other females riding in her car.

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Incidents
    U.S. 301 SOUTH – (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of speakers, an amplifier and stereo from a car.
    WEST RUSHINHG ROAD – (Statesboro) A woman reported the theft of a grill, dog kennel, lawn mower trailer, washing machine, bikes, above ground pool, other animal kennels, a shed, lawn mower and several other items.
    COLFAX ROAD – (Statesboro) A cherry pie server, antique picture frame, vase, sewing machine, headboard and footboard were reported stolen.
    CLAUDE BROWN ROAD – (Portal) A man reported the theft of a deep freezer and gas stove.

Brooklet Police Incidents
    Expired driver’s license-one citation issued.
    Speeding – three citations issued.
    Suspended license –one citation issued.
    Unregistered vehicle-one citation issued.

Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    The shelter reported the following activity during the week of July 11-17:

    Dogs surrendered by citizens – two from rural county residents, three from Statesboro residents.
    Cats surrendered by citizens – eight form rural county residents, three by Statesboro citizens.
    Dogs collected by Humane Enforcement – seven from rural county areas, 40 from the City of Statesboro.
    Cats collected by Humane Enforcement – eight from rural county areas, three from the City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from the shelter –two cats.
    Reclaimed by owners – none.
    Died at shelter –four cats.
    Euthanized – six dogs and one cat.
    Warnings issued – five.
    Citations issued – none.
    Fees collected - $90.
