Police Report, 7-12-17: A man asked to be taken to jail where he could "wait out his court date."

Bulloch County Sheriff's Office

George Mincey, 63, Highway 80 East, Brooklet - obstruction of officers (misdemeanor), criminal attempt to commit a misdemeanor.
Benjamin Allen Roberts, 33, J.W. Lane Road, Brooklet - aggravated assault, aggravated battery, theft by taking motor vehicle, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission or attempt of felonies, possession and use of drug-related objects, driving while license suspended or revoked.
Joseph Ryan Tucker, 22, Arcola Road, Brooklet - first-degree (felony) burglary, felony theft by taking.

Statesboro Police Department
Tyler Anthony Rickman, 23, Colvin Road, Forsyth - DUI (less safe/alcohol).
Carla Virginia Roberts, 50, Lily Creek Road - driving while license suspended or revoked, no insurance, seatbelt violation.
Kamillah Sade Tute, 23, Cornell Circle, McDonough - DUI (less safe/alcohol).

INCIDENTS
Bulloch County Sheriff's Office

SHERIFF'S OFFICE LOBBY - A citizen reported receiving strange Facebook messages, from the account of someone he doesn't know personally, claiming to be from that person's mother. The mother, the reporting officer noted, was currently in the county jail.
U.S. HIGHWAY 301 NORTH - Deputies and the Emergency Medical Service responded to a report of a man having been beaten in a fight at a mobile home park. Receiving information that the man who purportedly did the beating left in a black Nissan, deputies found and arrested him but on previous, unrelated warrants. Deputies advised the other man of the warrant process, but the report noted that he showed no physical sign of having been in a fight.
PATRIOT INN - Deputies assisted in an emergency child removal, helping Tattnall and Candler County authorities in the matter.
SHUMAN ROAD - A juvenile was arrested after a disturbance was reported at Marcella's Place, a group home.
BROOKLET SOUTH DRIVE - A man said someone took photos of his juvenile daughter, and he apparently has an issue with the incident. Sheriff's investigators are working on the case.
OLD REGISTER WAY - A man asked to be taken to jail where he could "wait out his court date" because of two men who came to his house regarding a previous incident at a club. When a deputy told him he could not take him to jail because there were no warrants on him, the man repeated that it would be best if he went to the "county" (jail). He agreed to stay in his house and call 911 if he felt he was in danger.
BULLOCH COUNTY JAIL - A woman with an active probation warrant was arrested when she came to visit an inmate.
BLACK CREEK CHURCH ROAD - Deputies were called to a domestic dispute in which one person claimed to have been hit by a car, and another said the issue was over someone trying to have intimate relations with another.
SPRAYBERRY COURT - A man said a woman stole $300.
SOD FARM LANE - A man reported a burglary in which a TV was taken from his home.
CLARK FARM ROAD - A man said someone stole $242 from his home while he was at church.
VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARKWAY/COUNTRY CLUB ROAD - A man and woman argued, and she said he pushed her from a slow-moving vehicle. He said he pushed her while the car was stopped because she refused to get out of his car. He said the woman slapped him several times.
NORTH COLLEGE STREET - A man said someone cut locks and stole yard tools from a trailer.

Statesboro Police Department
SOUTH COLLEGE STREET - A woman told police she loaned her car to someone and when it was returned, money was missing.
RUCKER LANE - A gate to a pool was damaged by unknown persons.
KMART- A person shoplifted $55 worth of clothes and shoes by concealing them and leaving without paying.
LESTER ROAD - A man said someone removed shutters from his business windows.
MAX LOCKWOOD DRIVE - A call about family violence/simple battery led to an arrest.
WAL-MART SUPERCENTER - Persons who shoplifted several watches, wallets, purses and other items were cited.
THE LODGE APARTMENTS - A man was charged with false imprisonment and battery (family violence) after involvement in a dispute.
PARKERS/HIGHWAY 301 SOUTH - A clerk reported a woman stole a food item worth $5.88.
BRAMPTON AVENUE - An officer using a tag reader found a car stolen from Savannah that had a tag stolen from Beaufort, S.C. The car was towed, but no arrests were reported.

Georgia Southern University Police
Officers issued four traffic citations and five traffic warnings and assisted one motorist.
