➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ ON THE GO FOOD MART/HIGHWAY 301 NORTH — Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person, with offenses listed in reports including criminal trespass, loitering/prowling and public indecency. Reports did not indicate an arrest.

▲ DOY NEWTON MOBILE HOME PARK — Deputies mediated a domestic dispute where the parties were separated.

▲ OLD RIVER ROAD NORTH — A woman told deputies she awoke to see a man through her window, committing a vulgar act. She said she believed he placed a chair outside her window and committed the act while he watched her sleep. She told deputies she was unsure of his race but said his genitals appeared to be white. Deputies searched the area and found no suspects.

▲ EASTSIDE CEMETERY — K9 units Cpl. Mark Guarino and partner Gismo assisted Statesboro police in apprehension of a suspect believed to have warrants and have an illegal firearm. The suspect suffered a minor injury and was treated by EMS.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET — Police are investigating an aggravated assault and false imprisonment that occurred June 12.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — An employee said someone left the store with a gift card valued at $500 and a phone card valued at $876.20. There was no immediate arrest. The case is being investigated.

▲ WAL-MART NEIGHBORHOOD MARKET - An employee reported someone returned stolen gift cards in the amount of $585.60, got a refund in cash, and left the store.

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET — An officer saw a woman walking who appeared to be in distress. Upon further contact he realized she was intoxicated from alcohol, and gave her a ride back to her home.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police

▲ Information about traffic citations and warnings and   motorists assisted Thursday was unavailable. 

▲ FREEDOM’S LANDING — Officers responded to reported alcohol violations and three offenders were judicially referred to university officials for disciplinary action.
