INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police Department
    WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A man was arrested for begging/soliciting.
    LANIER DRIVE — Detectives are investigating an armed robbery where a man’s wallet was reportedly stolen at gunpoint. No further information was included in reports.

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    WREN LANE — A man filled a diesel tank in the back of his work truck, came home, and later returned to find someone had left the tank on, dispensing fuel into the back of his truck and onto the ground.  It was caught in time to prevent reaching a pond.
    BELL/MUD ROADS — A woman reported another woman stole her horse. The accused claimed the owner had given her the horse. Deputies advised the complainant of magistrate procedures.
    SKYE DRIVE — A man received a text from “728933.gov” stating his bank information had been compromised. The man gave personal information before realizing it was a scam.
    HIGHWAY 301 NORTH — Someone reported a washer and dryer stolen.
    EMIT DEAL ROAD — A man said he found a letter stuck in his door asking him to give someone $1,000 “to help out because her son died.”  He said he believes the letter is from someone against whom he obtained a protective order, and to whom he had given thousands in the past.
    HIGHWAY 119 — An Excelsior EMC representative reported a meter had been tampered with and power had been illegally obtained.

Georgia Southern University Police
    Officers issued 10 traffic citations and 12 traffic warnings and assisted three motorists.

Georgia State Patrol Post 45
    Between Friday and Tuesday, troopers investigated 25 crashes with one fatality and seven reported injuries. Troopers also issued the following: seven seat belt citations and two seat belt warnings; 28 speeding citations and 59 speeding warnings; arrested one wanted person; and issued one child restraint warning as well as one child restraint citation.
