Candler County Sheriff’s Office
    Braden Avery Dunbar, 17, Bluffton, S.C. — possession of a knife or firearm during commission of a crime; marijuana possession with intent to distribute; possession of a pistol or revolver by a person under 18; marijuana possession; and speeding.
    Ruben Alonso, 53, Metter — disorderly conduct.
    Salvador Silva, 44, Metter — disorderly conduct.
    Cheryl Lynn Summer, 51, Canton — possession of a controlled substance, improper lane use, DUI/drugs, prescription drugs not in original containers.
    Gregory O’Neal Butler, 57, Statesboro — theft by shoplifting.
    Tracy Dalton Kicklighter, 49, Metter — theft by receiving stolen property.
    Damien Neron Lanier, 40, Metter — first-degree cruelty to children.

Candler County Sheriff’s Department
    TRAIL’S END ROAD — Deputies responded to a call where someone obstructed their investigation.
    RIGDON ROAD — A call involved third degree cruelty to children, public intoxication, simple battery and terroristic threats.
    CANOE PLACE — Someone reported a burglary, theft by taking and criminal trespass.
HAIWATHA STREET — Deputies responded to a report of harassing phone calls.
    DUTCH FORD ROAD — Someone reported a case of disorderly conduct.
    EXCELSIOR CHURCH ROAD — Deputies investigated a theft by receiving stolen property report.
    INTERSTATE 16/HIGHWAY 121 — A traffic stop resulted in charges of possession of a knife or firearm during commission of a crime; marijuana possession with intent to distribute; possession of a pistol or revolver by a person under 18; marijuana possession; and speeding.

Register Police Department
    Last week, officers issued seven traffic citations and issued seven warnings.

    NORTH TERRELL STREET — Police responded to a reported theft.
    SIMMONS STREET — Several people in various cases reported theft.
    WALLACE STREET — A woman accused a man of “keying” her car, but after police reviewed surveillance tapes, no proof could be found that he did the damage.
    WEST LILLIAN STREET — Officers investigated a reported burglary and theft.
    Another person reported an entering auto case with a stolen gun.
    NORTH LEWIS STREET — A woman said someone stole shrubs from her flower bed.
    In another case, someone reported sexual battery.
    Yet another person reported theft of plants.
    WEST LEE STREET — Someone reported a woman was screaming for help, and officers investigated the call, listed as a suicide attempt.
    EAST LILLIAN STREET — A man said someone stole seven plants from his flower bed.
    JAY’S TRUCK STOP — A car stolen from North Carolina was recovered.
    WINDSOR APARTMENTS — Someone reported a burglary.
    MINCEY STREET — On two separate occasions, officers investigated a reported burglary.
    In another case, someone reported a simple battery incident.
    ELLIS STREET — A resident reported a burglary.
    PLEASANT VIEW NURSING HOME — Someone reported a theft.
    BURGER KING — Police responded to a reported fight.
    BULLOCH STREET — Police recovered an amount of cocaine.
    AMIT FOOD MART — Someone reported an entering auto incident.
    WEST TURNER DRIVE — Someone reported a burglary.
    BARBARA STREET — Someone reported checks stolen.
    SOUTH REGISTER STREET — Someone reported a theft.
    ELLIS STREET — Officer investigate a reported argument.

    Surrendered by citizens — five dogs and six cats from rural areas; four dogs and one cat from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by humane officers — five dogs and two cats from rural areas; three dogs and two cats from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — four dogs and a cat.
    Taken in by rescue organizations — three dogs. 19 cats and 18 kittens.
    Reclaimed by owners — three dogs and two cats.
    Died at shelter — no animals.
    Euthanized — two aggressive adult dogs, two pups with parvo, 13 adult cats and six kittens (feral/upper respiratory infection).
