INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police Department

WAL-MART SUPERCENTER - A person was arrested for second-offense shoplifting after taking $5 worth of jewelry and a $10 watch.
PIEDMONT LOOP - Someone stole a tablet from a car.
RITE AID - A woman was arrested for shoplifting $68 worth of hygiene products.
CAMBRIDGE IN THE PINES - Two women fought in a parking lot about household items. No one was arrested, but they were separated for the night.
LANIER DRIVE - Two males were arrested for entering auto. One was taken to jail, and the other, a juvenile, was released to a parent after juvenile authorities were contacted.
ASPEN HEIGHTS APARTMENTS - A woman said an unknown man was in her home. She returned home with her boyfriend and the man fled.
PARK PLACE APARTMENTS - A man said an offender whom he knows kicked in his door and threatened him with a knife. He asked to be taken to the hospital for treatment because he was not feeling well.
RIGGS and McCOOK PHARMACIES - Police responded to both businesses regarding unspecified suspicious activity.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Office
BIG BAY BOULEVARD - A man reported that someone tried to pry open his home.
CYPRESS LAKE/COUNTRY CLUB ROAD - Two men who were stopped during a road check were arrested on drug charges as well as charges for suspended licenses.
REEDY BANCH ROAD - A man yelled at his nephew and his nephew's son for checking crop fields for moisture at night. A physical struggle ensued, but the complainant did not wish to press charges.
LANGSTON CHAPEL ROAD - A man walking in traffic was arrested on public intoxication charges.
DAWNE DRIVE - A woman said a man with whom she had been involved and previously had fought physically broke into her home after disconnecting the air conditioning unit. He grabbed her throat, struggled with her, said he wanted to watch a movie and pointed a gun at her head, she said. He then acted as if he wanted to have sex, undressing and demanding she do the same. They weren't intimate, but he took a nude photo of her and created a fake Facebook account using it, she said. She escaped after getting dressed and called law enforcement, then went home to find that the man had taken some change from a jar as well as the gun. The woman did not want to press charges, but the man was served with a criminal trespass warning.
BROOMSTRAW TRACE - A woman said a man, who had been drinking, pulled her down some porch steps after slapping her in the head and face several times. He then argued with his father, believing the two had been talking about him. Deputies found him asleep on a couch and arrested him.

Officers issued six traffic citations and three traffic warnings and assisted seven motorists.
