Statesboro Police Department
CHANDLER ROAD — A woman was arrested after a physical fight with her husband.
HWY. 301 NORTH — A woman said she argued with the father of her children, who threatened her.
LANIER DRIVE — Police met with a couple who said a juvenile yelled and cursed at them and struck his stepfather in the face.
SOUTHERN BILLIARDS — Police met with a woman at the hospital who said she was jumped by four females.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
ELLIS WOOD DRIVE — A man reported the theft of a toolbox from a work bench in his garage.
LILLY CREEK ROAD — A woman reported someone spray painted several trees on her property.
BURKHALTER ROAD MOBILE HOME PARK — Deputies responded to a call about two men yelling and cursing each other across the mobile home park.
ROSCOE LAIRCEY EXTENSION — Two men argued, with one picking up a brick as if he was going to throw it and the other drawing a line in the sand, daring the other to cross it. One man said the other shot a BB gun and pellets hit a shed as well as a fence, coming near his head. He said he picked up the brick because the other man had brass knuckles. Both were served with criminal trespass.
Georgia Southern University Police
Officers issued 11 traffic citations and no traffic warnings and assisted four motorists.
COLLEGE OF EDUCATION BUILDING — A man reported the theft of three textbooks valued at $100.
GEORGIA SOUTHERN BOOKSTORE — Someone wrote “The Flamingo is on” as graffiti on a wall and painted flamingoes around it.
CHANDLER ROAD — Police stopped for questioning a man carrying an unopened flat-screen TV box. Both the man and witnesses told officers he won the TV at a campus lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender event.
FREEDOM’S LANDING — Police investigating reports of a woman screaming “help me” located the woman, who admitted she only yelled that to embarrass her boyfriend because he left a mess in the home and would not clean it up.
