Police Report - 3-31-13; Euthanized at animal shelter this week - 17 dogs and five cats

ARRESTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Georgia Southern University
    KNIGHT DRIVE — Officers investigated the report of a blue, six-gallon water tub located near Kennedy Hall. A complainant suspected it was gas, but a check revealed it was simply water and not a danger.
In a separate incident, two women reported prescription medications stolen.

Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    The shelter reported the following activity during the week of March 18-24:
    Surrendered by owners — 14 dogs and 11 cats from rural areas; none from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by officers — 15 dogs and a cat in rural areas; four dogs and a cat from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — seven dogs and two cats.
    Reclaimed by owners — four dogs.
    Died at shelter — four dogs.
    Euthanized — 17 dogs and five cats.
    Fees collected — $330.
