STATESBORO POLICE
Arrests
    Jose DeJesus Navarro, 43, Sagebrush Apartments — driving while unlicensed, failure to yield.
    Ricardo Acevedo Iturbe, 36, Hammon Drive, Atlanta — speeding, driving while unlicensed.
    Christopher D. Williams, 21, Cameron Road, Sylvania — suspended license.
    Darryl Williams, 26, Gentilly Drive — wanted person.
    Jasmine Elizabeth Leach, 28, U.S. Highway 80 West, Portal — DUI, leaving the scene of an accident.

Incidents
    WALMART — An employee was caught in surveillance video ringing items up, then voiding them, as well as not ringing certain items up for other employees.
    SIMMONS LANE — A man “in his 40s or 50s” riding a blue-and-white scooter pulled into a yard and began talking to a group of children. He left when an adult approached him.
    BI-LO — An ex-employee who came to pick up his last check was unhappy with answers about personal leave and vacation hours, according to a manager. She said he made what she perceived were veiled threats about her home and noticed he drove past the store after he left the first time.
    BELK — An employee, now fired, was found to have made a fraudulent return and rang up items for less than they cost, resulting in unauthorized discounts and a loss to Belk of nearly $500.
    BRASWELL STREET — A City of Statesboro employee reported seeing about 10 males — ranging in ages 10 to 18 — acting suspiciously around the city shop. The suspects fled when he saw them.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL POST 45
Arrests
    Between Friday and Sunday, troopers issued one seat belt citation, nine speeding citations and a total of 27 citations overall.

Incidents
    Between Friday and Sunday, troopers investigated 26 crashes with 13 reported injuries, patrolled 2,260 miles, and issued 17 speeding warnings and 45 total warnings.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE
Arrests
    Officers issued four traffic citations between Friday and Sunday.
    Matthew Jourdan Fraser, 22, address unlisted (Statesboro) — speeding, DUI.
 
Incidents
    Between Friday and Sunday, officers issued 12 traffic warnings and assisted 10 motorists.
    EAGLE VILLAGE — Officers responded to the club house in reference to a fight that had occurred earlier. One subject was judicially referred to school officials for punishment.
