Police report -3-17-18; Someone exploded fireworks in a mailbox.

INCIDENTS
Bulloch County Sheriff's Office
    BURKHALTER ROAD — A man told deputies he was at his ex-girlfriend's property, trying to jump off his truck, when her current boyfriend attacked him with what he thinks were brass knuckles. The ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend said the complainant was the aggressor and rushed the other man, striking him in the face and biting him on the chest. Due to injuries suffered by the complainant, the woman's current boyfriend was arrested and taken to jail.
    BUTTERMILK ROAD — Someone exploded fireworks in a mailbox, and the explosion ignited a small brush fire. The Bulloch County Fire Department is investigating the suspected arson.
    PEACEFUL LANE — A man confronted a neighbor about trash piled up against the complainant's fence, and the neighbor became angry. A physical alteration ensued, with the neighbor striking the other man in the head with his fist and on the arm with a stick. The complainant then pulled a knife, which he dropped when he fell on the ground. Due to no statements being provable, no one was arrested, but the offenders were warned to stay off the complainant's property, where the altercation occurred.

Statesboro Police Department
    SOUTH MAIN STREET — Officers responded to a fight, which both involved parties claimed the other started.
    POLICE STATION/WEST GRADY STREET — A man reported receiving an email that stated someone used his financial transaction card to make unauthorized purchases.

Georgia Southern University Police
    Officers issued 13 traffic citations and six traffic warnings and assisted four motorists.
