Arrests
    Gataveo Labrone Simmons, 36, Institute Lane — headlights violation, driving without a license, failure to maintain lane.

Incidents
    FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH — A man called police after finding a door opened that had been locked.
    PARK AVENUE — A man reported a fraudulent charge on his account made to a Walmart in Atlanta.
    HARDEN ROAD — A man said someone stole $5 in change from his home.

Incidents
    LITTLE JOHN COURT — (Statesboro) A woman called deputies to report her son missing and said he had stolen a friend’s rifle and left walking. He was found passed out in the woods with the rifle and a crack pipe, for which officers issued him a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. The gun owner declined to press charges, but the offender’s mother expressed concern over her son’s safety due to addiction. He was supposed to be caring for his teenage daughter when the incident occurred, and he admitted taking a Xanax and drinking a six-pack of beer. He was arrested for public intoxication.
    RAY HOWELL LANE — (Statesboro) A man fired several shots toward a number of people, damaging vehicles, before fleeing. He aimed at one man and fired a warning shot before ordering him off the property. No one was injured, and the man was not located or arrested.
    OLD RIVER ROAD SOUTH — (Brooklet) A man shined a flashlight in a deputy’s eyes and was belligerent when deputies arrived to respond to an alarm call. Another man at the residence explained the offender was drunk, but when deputies further questioned the offender, and asked for his ID, he continued to be rude, cursing and uncooperative. The deputy arrested him.
    VETERAN’S MEMORIAL PARKWAY/PULASKI ROAD — (Statesboro) A deputy stopped with a truck that apparently struck a “for sale” sign and was bogged in mud. The young men near the truck acted suspiciously, nervous and alarmed, and when a deputy asked the driver for his identification, he stalled and then tried to flee. Afterward, he argued about his arrest and accused the deputy of only wanting to arrest him to boost his bonus. The deputy informed him that officers do not receive bonuses based on arrests made. The man also was uncooperative with jail staff.
    THE BARN MOBILE HOME PARK — (Statesboro) A man was arrested after fleeing from the scene when a deputy responded to complaints that someone was banging on the side of his home.
    JONATHAN ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman reported a TV stolen.
    M.P. MARTIN ROAD — (Brooklet) A camouflage Kawasaki four-wheeler was stolen.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE
Arrests
    Officers issued no traffic citations Monday.
    Quentin Kenneth Duncan, 19, Georgia Avenue — underage possession of alcohol and disorderly conduct.
 
Incidents
    Officers issued five traffic warnings and assisted five motorists Monday.
    LOT 30 — Officers responded to an animal complaint.
    EAGLE VILLAGE — Officers responded to a fire alarm.  Maintenance and the Statesboro Fire Department also responded. The alarm was activated by a burned pan on the stove in the community room. Officers made contact with a loud, profane person during the fire alarm. The person was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and disorderly conduct.
